Uptown Kiwanis has two or three major Fund raisers during the year. Casino Night, Golf Tournament, and a Spring Fling. The goal is to raise $10,000 to $20,000 at each event, to provide money for the many projects we sponsor throughout the year.

The club has established an approved 501 c (3) "Uptown Kiwanis Charities Foundation" to which sponsors and donors may make their tax exempt contributions.

Casino Night is usually held at the Janet Goeske Center , and includes support from many sponsors, a full dinner, and an evening of pretend gambling with “funny money” by our guests who have purchased tickets for the event. A number of silent and live auction items are also sold during the evening. It is lots of fun for those who attend, all leaving with a strong sense they have helped fund major community support events. 

Uptown has also recently added a smaller fundraiser by sponsoring A Night at The Riverside Community Players Theater with family and friends preceded by refreshments, and desserts at the intermission.
